From the gut up.
A different way to think about joint health.

LYVA Flex is a daily formula inspired by the emerging science of the gut–joint axis.

Daily gut-joint formula
Your gut. Part of the bigger picture.

What happens upstream?

Your gut microbiome, intestinal barrier and immune system are closely connected — and researchers are increasingly exploring what that means for whole-body and joint health.

LYVA starts with that question. We separate the research from the marketing — and we tell you which is which.

The research

Researchers are increasingly exploring links between the gut microbiome and inflammation throughout the body.

What researchers are investigating

Three connected areas of research.

01 · Gut environment

The gut microbiome and intestinal barrier are increasingly recognised as important areas of research in systemic health.

02 · Inflammatory signalling

Researchers are investigating how microbial metabolites, intestinal permeability and immune signalling interact.

03 · Joint health

Research is exploring how these pathways may influence the environment in which joint tissues function.

The gut–joint axis is an emerging area of research. LYVA is built around understanding it — not overstating it.

Our philosophy

Built on what happens upstream.

The relationship between the gut microbiome, intestinal barrier, inflammatory signalling and joint health is an active area of research. LYVA was built around that emerging science. We separate the research from the marketing — and we tell you which is which.

Mechanism first.
Marketing second.
Always.

The science

The gut-joint axis. What the research is exploring.

An active area of peer-reviewed research. Here is what researchers are looking at — and where the evidence stops.

01

Gut environment

Researchers are studying how changes in gut bacteria and the intestinal barrier may relate to inflammatory signalling elsewhere in the body.

02

Bacterial DNA in cartilage

Researchers have identified microbial DNA signatures in human cartilage, with differences between healthy and osteoarthritic tissue. It is an early finding — and an intriguing one.

03

Prebiotic fibre & joint function

A University of Calgary randomised controlled trial investigated daily prebiotic fibre and physical function in adults with knee osteoarthritis. Research in this area is ongoing.

Research-led ingredients

Every ingredient earns its place.

We look beyond ingredient names. Where published research exists, we pay attention to the form, standardisation and evidence behind an ingredient — not simply whether it appears on a label. No kitchen-sink formula. Nothing added because it sounds impressive.

Botanical extract

Boswellia Serrata

Studied for its interaction with inflammatory signalling pathways. One compound researchers focus on is AKBA, particularly in relation to the 5-LOX pathway. We describe the research — we don't turn it into a promise.

Enhanced-bioavailability form

Curcumin

Extensively studied in relation to inflammatory signalling. Standard turmeric is poorly absorbed, so the form matters. The final formulation will specify the exact form.

Full formulation available on request to registered practitioners and wholesale partners only.

The Mediterranean connection

Some of the ingredients we became interested in have long histories in Mediterranean diets and food culture. LYVA isn't trying to recreate a Mediterranean diet in a sachet. We're interested in the underlying nutritional principles — plant diversity, fibre, polyphenols and key nutrients — and in what the research actually tells us.

The Mediterranean diet. Without moving to Seville.

Founder's note

Why this exists.

I've spent most of my working life using my body. As I got older, I became increasingly interested in a simple question: what helps us keep doing the things we enjoy for longer?

The more I looked into the research, the more interesting the relationship between the gut, nutrition, inflammation and joint health became. What I found on the shelf was a category full of familiar ingredients, familiar promises and very little explanation of how anything fitted together.

So I decided to approach it differently. Not from the symptom backwards. From the mechanism upstream.

That's where LYVA began. Mechanism first. Marketing second. Always.
